As a child, Noora Alsaeed watched the Discovery Channel to learn about science and the solar system. That interest led her to apply for the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) program for Emirati STEM students, where she spent a summer working alongside researchers at the Laboratory for Atmosphere and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado Boulder – a strategic education partner for the Emirates Mars Mission.
The experience only fueled Noora’s passion, and she returned to CU Boulder to pursue her Masters and PhD. Today, Noora is conducting groundbreaking research on Mars, and helping scientists around the world better understand the planet’s atmosphere and water cycle.
Halfway across the world and settling into life in her new home in Boulder, Noora is supported by mentors and colleagues who share her passion for space science. Watch as she shares special memories about her experiences with American colleagues at LASP.
