New York City native Bill Bragin has had a storied career in music and performing arts programming. Previously, he was the Director of Public Programming at New York’s Lincoln Center, where he oversaw the Midsummer Night Swing and Lincoln Center Out of Doors festivals and programmed the David Rubenstein Atrium. These accomplishments, and many more, earned him the designation in 2008 as “one of the most influential figures in the New York live-music business” by The New York Times.
Today, Bragin is the Executive Artistic Director of The Arts Center at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). Through his work with the Center, Bragin is building bridges between cultures through art, and highlighting lesser-known aspects of Emirati culture on a global stage. Under his leadership, The Arts Center won the 2018 and 2019 Pride of Abu Dhabi Award for its contributions to the UAE’s arts and culture scene.
